The Inspection Process
You have a signed purchase agreement in place, and your REALTOR has wisely advised that you include an inspection contingency. The inspection contingency is your right as a home buyer to conduct an independent inspection of the home before proceeding with the sale, and to make certain requests or receive your earnest money back if the findings are not to your satisfaction.
What is a home inspection? A home inspection is a visual, non-invasive assessment of a home. While many home buyers are focused on the paint colors and floor coverings, the inspector is focused on the condition, functionality, workmanship, and safety of the home and all of its major systems.
In addition to our additional services, we offer two different inspection packages: The Essentials and The Enhanced. The Enhanced inspection bundles some of our most popular add-ons at significant savings. For all pricing information, please see the Pricing section.
The Essentials:
- Roof
- Foundation
- Electrical
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Exterior
- Doors/Windows
- Insulation & Ventilation
The Enhanced: All of the above, plus:
- 48-hour radon test
- Thermal imaging
